A company that has only vineyards and olive groves as it respects the greening and then collect the payment for greening?

edited by Dr. Giuseppe Marrone

The commitments of greening are:

1)crop diversification (applies to arable crops);

2)maintenance of permanent grassland (applies to permanent grassland);

3)presence of an ecological focus area (applies to arable crops).

A farmer who has only vineyard and olive grove areas does not own arable land and permanent grassland should not respect diversification and EFA, which apply to holdings with arable land area above a certain threshold and must not comply with the obligations relating to permanent grassland.

Consequently, being entitled to the basic payment and considering that greening is a percentage of the basic payment, the farmer will receive the aid provided for greening without having to practice the three mandatory actions.
