Containers of plant protection products which have been emptied of their contents must not be reused for any reason. In any case, they should not be disposed of using normal municipal waste bins. It’s forbidden to burn them, bury them or leave them in the environment. It is therefore necessary to conclude disposal contracts with special companies that provide for the collection and disposal of hazardous waste. Pending delivery to the specialized companies, it is necessary to store the containers in a place accessible only to professionals and sheltered from the weather. The charge for the collection and disposal of empty containers of plant protection products, according to D.Lgs. no. 152/06 (Environmental Act), is charged to those who have used the contents, as such containers, no longer used or usable are to be considered waste.
