When does the obligation to activate the register for olive growers start?

edited by Dr. Giuseppe Marrone

For the purposes of the application of the Ministerial Decree of 10 November 2009 and the Ministerial Decree of 23 December 2013, «olive grower» shall mean the «person who owns olive groves that produce olives for the production of oil». Therefore, the «olive grower» as such is not obliged to keep the electronic register.

Precisely, the olive grower does not have the obligation of computerized register when: it obtains from the olives produced in its olive groves only oil for own consumption in a maximum quantity of 350 kg, sells exclusively the olives produced in its olive groves, gives the olives produced in its olive groves to the cooperative society of which it is part, it is pressed, held and marketed bulk oil by third parties (it has never held bulk oil other than own consumption).

When the olive grower, in addition to producing olives, carries out other activities eg. if it sells loose oil, if it packages, etc it has the obligation of the estate of the register.

It is possible to contact the Technical Study of Dr. Agr. Giuseppe Marrone, who with the help of a team of experienced and qualified collaborators and the use of modern computer systems offers assistance in the compilation of telematic registers of oil loading/unloading.
