Weeding in the countryside: what is the best time?

edited by Dr. Giuseppe Marrone

Temperatures too cold or too hot, rainfall and in general adverse weather conditions definitely do not help in the care and maintenance of agricultural fields.

Springis the best time to clean the soil from weeds: it guarantees mild temperatures and allows you to apply the product when the weeds are growing and therefore penetrate to the roots thus enhancing the effectiveness.

They are in fact to avoid excessively hot and sunny days – which would dry the product – too cold and rainy – that would not allow the product to take root well – or with strong wind – to avoid spraying the product even on cultivated plants.

The ideal temperature is usually between 10 and 25 ºC and the best time is from March to September.
